Azusa, CA Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Algorithm Software Engineer Lead to support the development and implementation of advanced flight software solutions for embedded aerospace platforms. This role involves leading the design, integration, optimization, and deployment of algorithm-based software for real-time flight systems while collaborating closely with hardware, systems, and software engineering teams. Integrate software with flight hardware and support hardware-software validation activities. Optimize software performance, latency, and resource utilization across embedded platforms. Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software teams throughout the development lifecycle. Support software integration into third-party platforms and mission systems. Participate in Agile development processes, including planning, reviews, and testing activities. Lead technical efforts related to algorithm implementation and software architecture. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or another STEM discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10+ years of relevant experience; OR PhD in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience. Strong mathematical foundation for algorithm development and implementation. Experience developing software for embedded and real-time systems. Knowledge of operating systems, kernel-level programming, and low-level software concepts. Experience working within flight software environments and RTOS platforms. Hands-on experience implementing algorithms in embedded or flight software applications. Experience integrating software with hardware systems and third-party platforms. Strong background in embedded systems engineering. Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience optimizing distributed processing across integrated FPGA, CPU, and GPU architectures. Expertise with NVIDIA Jetson Orin or similar high-performance embedded computing platforms. Experience integrating FPGA technologies into embedded systems. Proven ability to design and implement high-bandwidth, real-time processing solutions. Strong understanding of low-latency software and heterogeneous compute architectures. Experience mapping complex algorithms to fixed hardware configurations. Knowledge of hardware-software co-design principles. Experience developing compute-intensive solutions for aerospace, defense, robotics, autonomous systems, or other real-time applications.
