$175,000 to $190,000 About the Company Our client is an automotive fintech startup building a modern marketplace for electric vehicles. Their platform enables consumers, dealers, and commercial partners to trade in, sell, and auction used EVs through infrastructure built specifically for electric vehicles , with nothing adapted from legacy automotive systems. Founded in by former Tesla executives, the company has facilitated over $100M in EV sales since launch and recently raised a $20M Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. They are building an AI-native engineering organization focused on creating the transaction rails for the rapidly growing used EV market. The Opportunity Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is a highly ownership-driven, full-stack role where engineers work end-to-end across products and systems in a fast-moving startup environment. The team is building systems including: AI-powered pricing intelligence Real-time integrations with vehicle manufacturer APIs Auction marketplace infrastructure Large-scale EV data pipelines and warehouse systems This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in ambiguous, high-autonomy environments and enjoy solving problems across the stack. What They're Looking For 5 to 8 years of software engineering experience Strong full-stack TypeScript experience Experience with APIs, integrations, cloud infrastructure, and relational databases Exposure to AWS, CI/CD, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code concepts Start-up experience with strong ownership mentality Engineers who actively use AI-assisted / agentic coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) in their daily workflow Strong product thinking and ability to prioritize independently in a fast-paced environment
