Partner team, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS services—including AI/ML, advanced analytics, and high-performance computing (HPC)—directly with our ecosystem of systems integrators, consulting, and technology partners. You will serve as a dedicated technical resource for high-growth consulting partners, leading strategic engagements at the executive level with minimal oversight.Your broad responsibilities will include:
owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures across compute, data, machine learning, and operational tooling; responding to RFPs; developing deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how of how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services. You will drive architectural decisions across multiple concurrent workstreams and ensure AWS is positioned as the strategic infrastructure partner of choice during critical scaling periods. This role requires the ability to operate independently with minimal guidance, communicate credibly with both technical and executive stakeholders, and maintain momentum across complex, multi-domain engagements. Building deep relationships with our partners is central to this role. As a trusted technical advisor, you'll use your interpersonal skills to influence a variety of stakeholders, from technical teams to executives. You'll help ensure their short-term technology decisions are aligned with their long-term goals. Helping partners work with customers to accelerate adoption of AWS services will be part of your day-to-day. You'll also act as an evangelist in the wider community—taking part in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers and blogs, and running workshops. You won't just want to be part of an industry movement; you'll want to be leading it. As a Builder, you'll also have the opportunity to shape the direction of our products and services by gathering feedback from customers and collaborating with our engineering and service teams. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and may require up to 30% travel. Key job responsibilities- Lead technical strategy and architecture for rapidly scaling partners within state and local government, education, non-profit, and/or healthcare domains.
- Own end-to-end solution architecture spanning compute, data, AI/ML, cloud migrations, analytics, etc.
- Operate as a trusted advisor at the executive level, translating business objectives into AWS-native architectures.
- Provide thought leadership and capture best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
- Collaborate with world-class sales and business development teams to drive partner success.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
- 4+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
- 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Bachelor's degree, or Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering)Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or consulting
