This individual will join a fast-paced engineering team focused on improving the performance and reliability of API-driven data systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute across multiple initiatives. This role will focus heavily on optimizing Azure Synapse performance, enhancing API functionality, and addressing data-related challenges, while also supporting broader engineering efforts such as security remediation and system improvements. •  Experience in Kubernetes environments
•  Strong experience with Azure (advanced knowledge required)
•  Ability to troubleshoot, work independently, and solve complex engineering problems

•  Experience with SQL and performance optimization
•  Experience with Quarkus framework
•  Experience with Kafka / streaming technologies
•  Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
•  Prior experience with data performance tuning and optimization techniques (materialized views, dedicated SQL pools, etc.)
•  Experience working in high-volume API environments
