Systems Engineer Configuration & Requirements Management Job Description Join a dynamic team supporting advanced autonomous maritime systems as they transition from development into production and deployment. This role serves as a technical leader across integration, manufacturing, testing, and production support activities, helping resolve complex issues and ensuring systems are delivered successfully. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced engineering environments, enjoys troubleshooting challenging technical problems, and works effectively across multiple engineering disciplines. Responsibilities Lead system integration, production support, and technical issue resolution activities across complex hardware and software systems. Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test organizations. Investigate technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to resolution. Coordinate implementation of engineering changes, design updates, and configuration-controlled modifications into production systems. Work closely with mechanical, electrical, software, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful execution. Support production readiness reviews, design reviews, failure investigations, and technical assessments. Develop and improve processes related to integration, testing, issue disposition, and system validation. Provide technical leadership during system builds, production events, customer demonstrations, and field activities. Essential Skills Experience supporting systems engineering, configuration management, requirements management, or product development activities. Understanding of engineering documentation, technical data packages, drawing control, and change management processes. Proficiency with requirements or configuration management tools such as DOORS, Jama, Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar platforms. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex cross-functional technical issues. Experience working with multidisciplinary hardware and software development teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience supporting production, integration, systems engineering, or manufacturing engineering efforts. Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, program, and customer stakeholders. Work Environment This position is onsite in Pocasset, MA, providing an immersive work environment to facilitate close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across various engineering domains. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pocasset, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
