Analyzes customer or user needs, designs programs, writes code or instructs computer programmers, tests design, and documents programs. May assist with upgrades or maintenance. May specialize in the design of computer applications or computer systems.

Okemos, MI and relocation required to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Job Duties:
Design, develop, implement, test, maintain, and support business and computer applications software or specialized utility programs, and major enhancements of existing systems for client projects. Involved in all phases of the software development life-cycle (SDLC). Fine-tune and improve a variety of software implementation projects. Gather and analyze user and business requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data. Create appropriate software documentation. Support and troubleshoot software as required, including testing / quality assurance, optimizing performance, resolving issues, and providing solutions. Demonstrate knowledge of development methodologies, software design patterns, and software engineering best practices for the application of development domain areas and specific technologies and tool sets.
Requirements:
Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Programmer Analyst, Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, Software Consultant, Technical Lead, Project Manager, or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
