We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 6-month contract position based in O'Fallon, Missouri. This role focuses on full-stack Java development, cloud-native architecture, and the application of AI and generative AI tools in modern software engineering. Responsibilities Design and develop full-stack Java applications using Java 8+, J2EE, Spring, and Hibernate frameworks Build and maintain front-end interfaces using Angular or React Design and implement REST and SOAP APIs for enterprise applications Architect and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS or other cloud platforms Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Chef, and Sonar Identify and implement generative AI tools and techniques to enhance developer productivity Apply AI-assisted approaches to coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting Explore and evaluate practical generative AI use cases for modernization, automation, and platform efficiency Qualifications Required Proficiency in Java 8+ and J2EE development Hands-on experience with Spring and Hibernate frameworks Front-end development experience with Angular or React Experience designing and building REST and SOAP APIs Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and deployment on AWS or equivalent cloud platforms Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Chef, or Sonar Ability to leverage generative AI tools to improve development workflows and productivity Preferred Experience applying AI-assisted coding, testing, and documentation techniques Track record of exploring and implementing practical generative AI use cases for system modernization and automation
