The Boeing Company is currently seeking Mid-Level Software Engineer•Developer to support our Phantom Works Infrared Management Aid (IRMA) team located in Berkeley, MO This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The selected candidate will be part of a software team developing new, innovative IR and/or mission planning software. The selected team member enjoys working collaboratively with others, has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement, and is successful working in a multi-contract/multi-program environment. He/she will support the development of solutions to a wide range of complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. He/she should be adaptable to new development environments and eager to work with and learn new technologies.

Position Responsibilities:

Work on all phases of the software development life cycle including design, algorithms, development, testing, and integration of IR and/or mission planning software applications for the embedded and simulated environments that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards.

Communicate with leads and internal customers during all phases of software development life cycleResponsible for several parallel tasks as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team of systems and software engineersWork autonomously with little to no supervisionLead junior engineers in software developmentPerform use case development for software requirements Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor DegreeAbility to obtain Secret US Security clearance and Special Access Programs5+ years of experience programming in C++3+ years of experience with multi-threaded development3+ years of experience with Agile Software development process Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experienceActive Secret or Top Secret U.S. Security ClearanceReal time software development experienceExperience with CUDA C/C++Basic knowledge of GPU architectureExperience with performance optimizationAbility to implement MATLAB based algorithms into C++ based software.

Advanced degree in a quantitative fieldExperience working in a professional software development environmentExperience with modern software development tools (git, visual studio, Jira, etc.)IR knowledge/Experience is a plus
