Job Summary (Java Developer)
- Perform full life cycle software development using Java.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices in code development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Communicate with users to gather requirements and address problems.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver programming projects on schedule.
- Independently document code changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.
- Develop applications in a Tomcat environment using Java Servlets and JSP.
- Utilize technologies such as Java, JavaScript, JDBC, SQL, Gradle, HTML, React, and CSS Design Tokens.
- Learn and apply frameworks/tools including Spring Boot, Tomcat, Spring Data JPA, and Containers/Docker/Kubernetes.
- Work on front-end development with React, CSS Modules, and React Query.
- Build and interact with RESTful web services, JSON, and XML; implement API security with OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.
- Use Gradle for builds, manage dependencies/SBOM, and participate in CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines).
- Contribute to building, testing, and distributing iOS and Android applications; exposure to Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Jetpack Compose is a plus.
- Apply AI-assisted development tools for code generation and design-to-code workflows; review and validate AI-generated code.
- Write effective prompts for AI tools and ensure human verification of AI outputs.
- Understand and implement responsible, secure, and compliant AI use, especially in a regulated banking environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Exhibit strong analytical, organizational, time management skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
