Oversees the development and implementation of iSeries applications while serving as a resource to others to resolve complex IT issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares detailed specifications and performs programming, testing, conversion, and implementation planning. Codes in various languages and technical platforms based on program specifications. Analyzes existing programs and recommends changes in development, maintenance, or system standards.

Designs complex functionality within applications and provides multifaceted solutions. Documents requirements in order to translate information into technical specifications.

Develops testing plans to ensure effective functionality. Provides guidance to team members on complicated assignments and mentors on new technologies.

Administers training for users during system implementation as needed. Receives and carries out instructions.

Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
