Job Description

You will also develop code, manage applications, and convert code to containerized application code.
Job Duties:
Edit, develop, adjust existing Java code base. Administer and support applications running in Linux environments. Develop automation code in Bash, Ansible, or Gitlab. Convert Java middleware application code in a virtual machine environment to containerized application code.
Education & Experience Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT fields, with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science may be substituted in lieu of the computer science degree, depending on other qualifications and experience. 3-6 years of experience is required.
Required:
Core Java Development:
Java, Spring Boot, and Maven.
Containerization & Deployment:
Containerization using Docker or Podman. Developing, deploying, packaging, port mapping, and networking. Publish/Subscribe messaging and enterprise messaging technologies such as JMS, Solace, or Apache Camel. Web services. Version control systems like Git. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and try new complex things on the job. Professional verbal and written communication.
Preferred:
Testing & Quality:
Test‑Driven Development (TDD), Test development using Junit and/or Mockito. Ansible automation. DevOps experience such as using Jenkins or Gitlab. Familiar with Java OOP design pattern. National Air Space System (NAS) experience. Full-time position and will generally be in a cubicle environment.
