Head of Market Data Engineering

New York City, NY, Jersey City NJ

• 3 Days Onsite per week Head of Market Data Engineering
• C++ Must-Have Skills 10+ years of modern C++ development experience.

Strong hands-on experience with

C++17/C++20.

Extensive experience developing Market Data Feed Handlers. Strong knowledge of Exchange Protocols and market data systems. Expertise in TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, and network programming. Strong low-level systems programming and performance optimization experience. Proven experience designing ultra-low latency / high-performance systems. Strong understanding of Equities Market Structure and electronic trading. Experience in investment banks, market makers, proprietary trading firms, exchanges, or electronic trading organizations. Nice-to-Have Experience with kernel-bypass technologies such as DPDK, RDMA, or Open Onload. Experience with hardware acceleration / FPGA technologies. Experience building high-volume market data distribution platforms. Experience with low-latency networking and CPU/memory optimization. Strong technical leadership and architecture experience. Experience supporting mission-critical production trading systems. Roles & Responsibilities Lead the design and development of high-performance market data platforms using C++. Build and optimize low-latency feed handlers and exchange connectivity solutions. Design systems for high-volume, real-time market data processing and distribution. Optimize CPU, memory, networking, concurrency, and I/O for ultra-low latency. Work with trading and technology teams to support electronic trading and market data requirements. Drive technical architecture, engineering standards, and performance optimization. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams. Ensure highly available, resilient, and performance-sensitive systems are well supported in production.
