Job Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer-Enterprise Modernization position for our client.
Location:
Piscataway, NJ Duration:
12 months Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and modernize Enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, C/C++, and microservices. Develop and maintain interfaces between OSS and other applications/network elements Analyze and modernize legacy C/C++ applications, transitioning functionality toward Java, Linux, and modern service architectures. Develop high-throughput integrations using IBM MQ, Tuxedo, Kafka, Rabbit
MQ, REST
APIs, and other messaging technologies. Support migration from legacy communication technolog Required skills: Software Engineer with 10-12+ years of experience developing and modernizing Enterprise applications. The role requires strong Java/Spring Boot and C/C++expertise, with experience integrating Enterprise applications with messaging platforms, databases, and modern cloud environments.
Nice to have skills:
Support migration from legacy communication technologies toward IP-based connectivity and modern integration patterns. Design and implement scalable microservices, APIs, event-driven workflows, and network/service provisioning capabilities. Work with Oracle/Informix and PostgreSQL databases, including query optimization and performance tuning. Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, database, middleware, network, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate with Network Engineering, OSS/BSS, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Production Support teams during modernization and migration activities. Support deployment across Red Hat Linux, on-premises, Azure, and AWS/AWS Outposts environments. Participate in technical design, code reviews, performance engineering, P1/P2 production Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
