First 4 to 6 weeks need to be onsite. If remote need to be onsite 2 days a quarter. BUT will need to be onsite for 5 weeks of training

JOB DESCRIPTION
The work you'll do will be impactful to the mission of our NYS customer. You will play a crucial role as you join our team in partnership with New York State of Health (NYSoH) to provide comprehensive health coverage to more than 7.0 million New Yorkers through its Health Benefit Exchange (HBE) Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering Required Experience Demonstrated ability to work effectively with both Development and QA teams, contributing to application code, improving testability, and implementing automation strategies that support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). Minimum 5 years of experience (maximum of 8 years) in software development or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) roles within Java-based enterprise applications. Strong experience with Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, ORM technologies (Hibernate/JPA), Java build tools (Maven/Gradle), and JUnit/TestNG. Experience designing and developing test automation frameworks and scripts in Selenium (Java). Proven experience in analyzing and writing automation scripts for complex business rules and rules engine. Experience developing and testing RESTful Web Services and working with
JSON/XML.
Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured. Knowledge of database (DB2) concepts, EDI (834, 837), SOAP UI, Rational Quality Manager, Agile methodologies, AccelQ and UI Path. Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and database validation techniques. Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. Minimum 1 year of experience supporting large-scale, enterprise applications with high availability and complex integrations. Ability to write simple and complex SQL Queries, preferably with DB2 SQL syntax including PL/SQL Preferred Qualifications Healthcare, Medicaid, or Health Exchange experience preferred. Experience with Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks is a plus. Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up. Experience in Mobile Testing Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes). Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS). Familiarity with performance and security testing. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
