Your role and responsibilities As a Delivery Consultant specializing in Technology Expert Labs for IBM's zTPS, you will provide clients with world-class services to optimize the configuration, deployment, adoption, usage, and analysis of their zModernization and zTransaction Processing System (zTPS) software products. This role involves delivering expert consulting services to help clients achieve maximum value from their zTPS investments.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Optimize Client Solutions:
Drive the optimization of zTPS software configurations, deployment, and adoption to meet client needs, leveraging deep expertise in zModernization and zTransaction Processing System (zTPS) software products. •
Deliver World-Class Services:
Provide expert consulting services to clients, ensuring seamless integration and maximum value from their zTPS investments, including IT Operations Management, Application/Data Management, Application Development, and Security products. •
Analyze Client Environments:
Conduct in-depth analysis of client environments to identify opportunities for improvement and provide actionable recommendations to enhance zTPS software usage and efficiency. • Collaborate with
Clients:
Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific requirements, fostering strong relationships and driving client satisfaction. •
Develop Solution Strategies:
Establish and implement comprehensive solution strategies to help clients achieve their business objectives, leveraging zTPS software capabilities and industry best practices. Required education High School Diploma/GED Preferred education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise CICS Required skills: Experienced with CICS version upgrades, system tuning, and CICS region customization using SMPE, ASSEMBLER and REXX. Worked with application teams and operations to resolve dumps and performance issues. Designed and implemented automated solutions to
CICS TS / CICSPLEX
management Familiar with CICS interfaces used by batch streams and RLS and file handling. Worked with CICS exits Familiar with

General knowledge of CICS transaction security Knowledge of

Installation:
Basic product installation, Queue Manager and CHINIT configuration. Advanced - Queue Sharing Group configuration, queue manager cluster configuration.
Administration:
Queue and channel object creation and modification. Use of MQ Explorer, TSO Panel, and batch utility programs. Use of MQ real-time monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON, Mainview, Sysview, etc. Cluster administration.
Performance Tuning:
understanding and use of SMF115 and SMF116 records, MP1B or similar tools. Performance metrics for Buffer pool and Logger tunning.
Architecture:
Availability and capacity capabilities of queue sharing groups or queue manager clusters Preferred technical and professional experience Analytical/critical/outside-the-box thinking in problem solving Ability to work well in team environment as well as independently without direction Mainframe systems software programming experience Proficient with z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JES2, RMF, SMF Good problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills Identifies and resolves less clearly defined problems using established procedures and/or protocols as guidelines group id: 90615168 Apply now
