Junior Software Developer Position Summary We are seeking a Junior Software Developer to support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and embedded technology solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience through internships or academic projects developing software applications, working with embedded systems, databases, and data analytics tools. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative software solutions while growing technical expertise in modern development environments. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using object-oriented programming principles. Develop and support embedded software solutions for sensor-based and data acquisition systems. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C++, Python, Java, and C#. Assist in the integration of hardware components with software applications and analytics platforms. Create and execute software testing plans, troubleshoot issues, and debug applications. Design, develop, and maintain relational databases using MySQL and PostgreSQL. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements and implement technical solutions. Develop data processing, visualization, and reporting tools to support engineering and business needs. Support the implementation of machine learning and data analytics solutions for engineering applications. Create and maintain technical documentation, system specifications, and user guides. Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices and coding standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Internship, academic project, or 0-2 years of experience in software development. Experience with object-oriented programming and software design principles. Proficiency in one or more programming languages including C++, Python, Java, or C#. Experience working with relational databases and SQL. Understanding of software testing, debugging, data structures, and algorithms. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing software for embedded systems and microcontrollers. Familiarity with Arduino development environments and embedded sensing technologies. Exposure to signal processing, data acquisition systems, and analytics platforms. Knowledge of machine learning concepts and data visualization techniques. Experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based technologies.
