Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Test Principal Architect to lead testing strategies and validation methodologies for advanced automotive software systems. This role will focus on defining test approaches for new technologies, developing comprehensive validation strategies, solving complex and ambiguous technical problems, and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of automotive software testing/validation experience , strong systems-thinking capabilities, hands-on experience with automotive testing tools, and the ability to independently develop testing strategies in a research-oriented environment. Experience with AI/ML, ADAS, autonomous systems, or other advanced vehicle technologies is a plus. Key Responsibilities Design and lead comprehensive testing strategies for automotive software systems. Develop test methodologies and validation approaches for new and emerging technologies. Define test strategies, test coverage, validation criteria, and measurement approaches. Analyze complex and ambiguous technical problems and develop practical testing solutions. Support validation of advanced vehicle technologies with a strong focus on software quality, reliability, and system performance. Develop and implement automated testing solutions using Python, CAPL, and other scripting technologies . Utilize automotive testing and measurement tools such as CANoe, CANape, dSPACE, DIVA, and Open Test . Analyze test results, defects, and coverage metrics to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with software, systems, validation, and other engineering teams to establish effective testing methodologies. Work independently on research-oriented technical challenges while coordinating with cross-functional teams. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly through written documentation, presentations, and technical discussions. Build relationships across engineering organizations to gain alignment and drive successful implementation of testing strategies. Identify opportunities to improve test processes, automation, coverage, and overall validation efficiency. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 8+ years of automotive software testing or validation experience. Proven experience developing test strategies and validation methodologies . Experience defining testing approaches for new or emerging technologies . Strong ability to solve ambiguous and complex technical problems . Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to understand interactions across software and vehicle systems. Other automotive measurement, simulation, and validation tools Strong Python automation experience. Experience with test coverage analysis, defect tracking, and validation metrics. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience testing or validating AI/ML-based automotive software . Experience with ADAS, autonomous driving, or advanced vehicle technologies . Knowledge of automotive data pipelines and data analytics used for software validation. Experience with JavaScript . Experience with DIVA and Open Test . ISTQB or IREB certification . Experience with automated testing frameworks and large-scale validation environments. Experience working in research and development environments. What We're Looking For The successful candidate is a technical testing/validation leader who can move beyond executing predefined test cases and help determine how new automotive technologies should be tested and validated . You should be comfortable working with incomplete requirements, identifying testing gaps, developing validation strategies, and bringing together engineering teams to solve challenging technical problems.
