Azure Lead Developer / Architect

Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Azure Lead Developer / Architect for a Contract with a client in Malvern, PA. The ideal candidate has proven ability to lead cloud modernization initiatives, implement Azure DevOps/IaC automation, and provide architectural governance while mentoring engineering teams.
Rate Range:
$60/Hour to $64/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Azure Lead Developer / Architect Job Responsibilities include: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud architectures for enterprise applications. Architect and develop event-driven and microservices-based solutions using Azure Event Hub, Event Grid, Service Bus, Azure Functions, and API integrations. Drive multi-cloud and multi-region initiatives across Azure and AWS, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and global scalability. Lead data platform and integration projects utilizing Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, analytics services, and Salesforce integrations. Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions. Provide architectural governance, conduct technical design reviews, mentor development teams, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver cloud transformation programs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 10+ years of experience in software development, cloud architecture, and enterprise application modernization, with hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure. Strong experience designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including event-driven architectures, microservices, API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Event Grid. Proven expertise in multi-cloud environments (Azure & AWS), cloud governance, high availability, disaster recovery, and large-scale enterprise deployments. Pay Details:
