Job Description
General Summary The Sr. Solutions Architect is part of a team responsible for designing comprehensive solutions including facility layout, innovative automation solutions, MHE, IT system, operational processes, and workflows. The position uses their knowledge & understanding of engineering, operational flow and system capabilities to support the development of the solution, ensuring the business requirements are met, with the lowest cost that meets the customer needs, operational efficiency, and productivity standards. Primary Responsibilities 1. Supports the team helping to align IT, Engineering and Operations capabilities to form a solution that can be marketed, sold, and executed to meet customer needs. 2. Works with customer implementation teams to resolve issues, and work with product management teams to deliver the solutions required for the timelines. 3. Responds to new business and customer enhancement opportunities which includes response document and supports the inputs into pricing of strategic business solutions. 4. Supports the development of Statement of Work with customer, ensures customer requirements, service levels and integration point are clearly understood and communicated. 5. Supports customer meetings, develops presentations communicating the solutions for Pre and Post sales. 6. Documents and supports the IT system identification, gap analysis in relation to providing potential customers a full integrated supply chain solution. 7. Supports and works with teams that develops the full solution that encompasses engineering, operational flows, and system capabilities, ensuring the business requirements are met, with the lowest cost that meets the customer needs, operational efficiency, and productivity standards. 8. Engages Sales, Operations, IT and other stakeholders to validate new business scope and solution design. 9. Support team by organizing and facilitating reviews of customer contract documents, technical specifications and data analytics to ensure correct operating models are designed and technologies selected to support customer requirements. 10. Collaborates with implementation teams to determine cross-program impacts, interdependency of work and priorities, capacity, plans for communication, coordination and delivery of implementation. 11. Interacts with Product managers and implementation agile team to review demos to validate the most critical aspects of a solution and ensuring the right systems solutions needed for customer implementations. 12. Builds relationships and influences leadership, customers, Architects, Product Managers and customer implementation team to deliver solution that conform to repeatable standard. 13. Works to establish, maintain, and update strategy (methodology, processes, standards, tools, services) used in customer implementations. 14. Strong partnership and collaborating with IT and business teams to ensure timely customer value delivery. 15. Ensure FedEx brand standards are upheld, particularly in the delivery of customer facing standards. Education/Experience 1. Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math required with 4-6 years of experience as minimum. In addition to minimum experience, an additional four (4) years of relevant, demonstrated experience working as a key member of a project team developing business processes, solutions, creating business requirements and delivering business capabilities will be considered in lieu of a degree. 2. Experience in Warehouse Management Systems specifically in Manhattan Warehouse Management Operating System (WMOS) is preferred. 3. Experience in facilitating project teams for developing end to end solution including operational engineering, systems, implementation, customizations, and enhancements in with Enterprise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for 3PL customers. 4. Demonstrate good understanding of the Warehouse Management related business process flows. 5. Understanding of Manhattan system process flows desired. 6. Knowledge on the typical integrations such as between an ERP and WMS systems 7. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. 8. Excellent stakeholder management skills with emphasis on customer service. 9. Strong team player. 10. Knowledge of Agile and Lean values/concepts 11. Uses solutions-based thinking in problem solving, asking probing questions and looking for underlying issues. 12. Strong influencing skills with customers to understand the system and capabilities for deliverables. 13. Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to inform teams and stakeholders. 14. Business acumen and ability to understand the larger company strategy. 15. Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
