Application Architect#26-03364 Charlotte, NC 40% Remote Contract Starts 4/01/2026 Ends 4/01/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain and test software applications that support business units or supporting functions Application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools Participate in the design, development and implementation ofplex applications, often using new technologies May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives Serve as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource Lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations Work with Business partners and enterprise architects to define architecture & design Work with dev teams to provide design oversight and mentor tech leads Define high level designs, architecture roadmaps, technology adoption guideline and standards Responsible for project and project budget Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application Routine accountability for technical knowledge and capabilities Work under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants

Requirements:

7-9 years of experience Architecting for high throughput, low latency, zero downtime and zero data loss using a microservices architecture Cloud-native design and Domain Driven Design Container design and deployment strategies Desired skills: 15 years Solution Architecture Modern tech stack (cloud, OpenShift, Kafka, Mongo DB / Cockroach DB) UML Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
