Applications Engineer - Custom Automation & Life Sciences Manufacturing | Maple Grove, MN or Corvallis, OR Are you an engineer who gets energized by solving complex automation challenges from the ground up? We're looking for a technically sharp Applications Engineer to join a growing life sciences automation company where you'll own the quoting and concepting process for cutting-edge custom machinery — from RFQ through concept delivery.
What You'll Do:
Lead technical RFQ audits and concept development for custom automated equipment Build detailed proposals, cost worksheets, process block diagrams, and timing charts Facilitate internal and external concept review meetings Serve as Principal Engineer on sold projects — bridging the gap between Applications and Design Collaborate with Business Development and Project Management to bring winning solutions to life Work on highly complex, bespoke automation systems for the life sciences and MedTech industries
What We're Looking For:
MS/BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ME background strongly preferred) 3+ years of experience in custom machine design, special automation, or tool & die Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD Hands-on experience with Fanuc Roboguide (required); Rockwell Emulate 3D a plus Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, manufacturing methods, and assembly processes Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear written proposals and client-ready presentations
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation:
