Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. What You Will Do Contribute to the design and implementation of new signal processing capabilities. Join our team as a DSP Software Engineer, where you will play a key role in designing and developing software solutions that support advanced RF signal processing and wireless communication systems. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering team to create high-performance, real-time applications that drive mission-critical operations. Your contributions will directly impact the development of innovative technologies in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Design, develop, and maintain software applications for RF signal processing and wireless communication protocols. Develop real-time signal processing applications using Python and C++ within Linux environments. Build and enhance X-Midas applications, primitives, macros, and data processing tools. Create intuitive graphical user interfaces using PyQt for engineering and data analysis applications. Develop and optimize multi-threaded applications for high-throughput data processing. Implement and improve signal detection, filtering, and frequency tuning capabilities. Design software to interface with relational databases, including MySQL. Automate signal processing toolsets within high-performance computing infrastructures. Support testing, troubleshooting, and validation of hardware/software systems. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field and a minimum of 5 years of experience. Experience in programming with Python and C++. Experience developing software in Linux environments. Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and RF communication systems. Experience with object-oriented software design and development. Experience developing graphical user interfaces using PyQt or Qt. Experience with multi-threaded application development. Experience working with databases such as MySQL. Active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Experience with X-Midas development. Experience developing real-time data processing applications. Familiarity with encryption/decryption technologies. Experience optimizing software performance. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
