The Senior Data Engineer leads the design, implementation, optimization, and support of complex enterprise data engineering solutions that enable scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms. Provides technical leadership for the development of advanced data pipelines, integration frameworks, data quality processes, observability, and monitoring capabilities. Partners with architects, analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to design resilient engineering solutions, improve platform reliability, resolve complex technical challenges, and mentor other engineers. Drives continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, automation, scalability, and operational excellence across enterprise data platforms. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Core Delivery (Essential Skills) Own delivery and operational outcomes for one or more assigned data domains.
- Integration & Alignment (Connect the Dots) Create and maintain integrated data views from multiple source systems across EMR and non-EMR environments. Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of data pipelines and platform components within assigned domains. Anticipate platform changes (e.g., cloud platform evolution, Epic upgrades) and assess downstream impact.
- Continuous Improvement (Innovations & Process Improvement) Lead resolution of complex incidents and contribute to root cause analysis and preventative improvements. Design and implement data models that support flexible querying, analytics, and reporting use cases. Organize and enrich data to ensure it is analytics-ready and reusable by BI developers and analysts.
- Influence & Stewardship (Leadership) Support development and refinement of datasets used for advanced analytics, statistical analysis, and reporting.
- SQL experience, including complex query optimization and data preparation.;
- cloud-based data platforms or enterprise data environments.;
- solid experience designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable data solutions.;
- experience with version control (Git) and scripting (Python preferred).;
- experience designing and implementing Power Platform solutions including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio.;
- experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and governed architectures specifically for advanced AI/ML workloads.
