Full Job Description Job Title:
Embedded Controls Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Embedded Controls Engineer to lead and coordinate software and controls development activities. This role involves software modeling, code implementation, analog circuit design, and the design of automated test equipment. You will utilize design tools to ensure requirement tracing and test coverage, execute design integration, verification, and validation testing, and conduct hands-on hardware and software testing. Additionally, you will support software development for hardware qualification and acceptance tests and prepare and present technical data to both internal and external customers. You will also support the documentation necessary for industry standards and new product releases. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate software and controls development activities. Conduct software modeling and code implementation. Design analog circuits and automated test equipment. Utilize design tools for requirement tracing and test coverage. Execute design, integration, and verification/validation testing. Perform hands-on hardware/software testing. Support software development for hardware qualification and acceptance tests. Prepare and present technical data and demonstrations to customers. Support documentation for industry standards and new product releases. Essential Skills Proficiency with Control Law theory, system modeling, and software design in embedded systems. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of related experience. Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink modeling. Experience with embedded microcontroller systems and peripheral devices. Proficiency with one of the following:FPGA, C/C++, C
#. Additional Skills & Qualifications Brushless DC Motor control experience. Proficiency with Visual Studio or Python for Windows GUI application development. Experience with aircraft communications such as ARINC 429, Ethernet, and CAN. Experience with aerospaceRTCA DO-178/DO-254/DO-330
development. Work Environment This role is primarily onsite, with a team consisting of 16 engineers, including 2-3 Mechanical Engineers and the remainder being Electrical Engineers. There is some remote work flexibility, allowing up to one day per week on an as-needed basis. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $62.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
