Full Job Description Full Stack Engineer Work Hours and Location:
Batavia, IL office location with discretionary remote work. Some local and minimal interstate travel for meetings, training, conventions, project support, or site visits could occur. Typical work week is M-F, full-time, daytime hours.

As a Full Stack Engineer you will play a vital role in developing a new platform that will help with consolidating pre-construction planning, project management, logistics, & accounting. You'll be taking a first principles approach towards ownership and building of modules with a constant focus on providing the best possible experience for our customers and accelerating our operational efficiency and bandwidth.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Front-End Development Full end-to-end testing of user experience. Finding, reporting, and patching bugs and performance issues before they reach the end user. Creating a beautiful aesthetic, enforcing modular CSS styling, and ensuring aesthetic consistency and clarity. 2. Back-End Development Use first principles to solve problems at their root. Build python & JavaScript modules that scale with the operations of a $250,000,000 (and growing) fence construction company. Manage security audits on database, server, and front-end website.
Back end tech stack:
Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, PostgreSQL Python proficiency treated as a near-non-negotiable AI/prompt engineering proficiency valued over raw SQL schema management 3. Server & System Maintenance Enforce robust logging. Manage GCE VM instance images for system backups & deployment testing. Rolling VM backups (hourly, daily, weekly) Three mirrored VM instances: production, testing/deployment, sandbox QC checks, log monitoring, and proactive issue patching Work in conjunction with systems analysts to implement software solutions for data cleanliness.

Google Compute Engine, Google APIs, Codex for rapid development
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Work environment includes primarily offices, or home office, but can include construction sites and construction or supply yards. Both indoor and outdoor environments may be encountered. Physical demands can include walking, sitting, standing, lifting, bending, climbing, and crouching. This role involves close collaboration with the Director and other team members, engaging in both independent tasks and group projects. Qualifications:
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-support environment. Ability to demonstrate a build or build something from scratch as part of the interviewing process. Exceptional proficiency in prompt/context engineering and using AI tools to ship features. 3+ years of experience working directly with Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, & JavaScript. Python proficiency treated as a near-non-negotiable AI/prompt engineering proficiency valued over raw SQL schema management
Additional Information:
Domain experience in logistics, PO management, materials management, manufacturing, or construction valued over pure coding depth Candidate with 2 years hobby coding + 5-10 years relevant industry experience preferred over someone with only raw syntax knowledge On-site requirement: open to a couple flex remote days for exceptional performers; fully remote is a non-starter Portfolio ask: something built in a professional context relevant to the domain, or a project built over 5-7 days specifically for the interview
