Summary The Senior Full Stack Developer - Cloud & Azure is responsible for designing and delivering modern, cloud-first applications leveraging Microsoft technologies and Azure services. This role emphasizes solution design, cloud-native architecture, and the use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. This individual operates across the full SDLC, with a strong focus on designing scalable, resilient cloud solutions, building RESTful APIs, and delivering modern front-end experiences. The role partners closely with IT and DevOps to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, while also leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance development efficiency and effectiveness. Duties and Responsibilities Design and develop cloud-native applications using C#, .NET, Angular, and Azure services Architect and implement scalable, secure, and resilient solutions in Azure Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed services Perform code reviews Translate business requirements into technical designs, solution architecture, and implementation plans Lead design discussions and contribute to architectural standards and best practices Leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and improve code quality Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform templates to automate provisioning and ensure consistent, reliable cloud environment deployments Collaborate with IT to provision and manage infrastructure (DNS, hosting, networking, environments) Monitor and optimize applications using tools such as Seq, SolarWinds, and New Relic Evaluate/Understand/Implement logging strategies for observability. Troubleshoot production issues and implement proactive monitoring and alerting Ensure solutions align with cloud best practices (scalability, cost optimization, security) Mentor team members on cloud development patterns and modern engineering practices Support and improve SDLC processes, including Agile-Scrum methodologies Expected Results Delivery of scalable, cloud-native applications aligned with Azure best practices Well-defined technical designs and architecture for new initiatives Increased development velocity through effective use of AI-assisted tools Highly reliable and observable systems with strong monitoring and alerting Improved system scalability, performance, and cost efficiency in Azure Strong collaboration between development, DevOps, and IT teams Elevated team capability in cloud and modern development practices Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Cloud solution quality (scalability, resilience, cost efficiency) Time to deliver features (with measurable improvement via AI tooling) Adoption and effective use of Azure services and cloud patterns API performance and system response times Deployment frequency and success rate (CI/CD maturity) Mean time to detect (MTTD) and resolve (MTTR) issues Reduction in production defects and incidents Quality and completeness of technical designs and documentation Contribution to architectural standards and best practices Skills and Abilities Technical Skills Strong proficiency in C# and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 6+) Experience designing and building cloud-native solutions in Azure Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Storage, Key Vault, etc.) Strong experience building RESTful APIs and distributed systems Experience in Front-end development using Angular Deep understanding of SQL Server and data modeling in cloud environments Experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, boards, releases) Familiarity with observability and logging tools (Seq, SolarWinds, New Relic) Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) Architecture & Design Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud architecture Experience creating technical specifications, diagrams, and solution designs Understanding of microservices, event-driven architecture, and API-first design Professional Skills Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking mindset Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into structured technical plans Effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders Ability to influence technical direction and mentor team members Strong ownership mindset across the SDLC Education and Experience 7+ years of full stack software development experience 3-5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud development and architecture Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-based solutions Strong experience with .NET/C#, REST APIs, and Angular (Typescript) Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation Experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) in a development workflow Experience working across the full SDLC, including design and production support Experience collaborating with infrastructure/IT teams on cloud provisioning and networking Physical Requirements Light-duty work environment - primarily office-based with minimal physical exertion Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer Occasional standing or walking for presentations or facilitation Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs occasionally Hybrid Schedule - Work from the office on Tues/Wed/Thurs and from home on Mon/Fri Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training, or conventions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. Actual pay will be determined by factors including candidate experience and qualifications, education and work location.
