We ship sophisticated machine learning systems behind the scenes — your job is to turn that capability into interfaces real users want to use. Polished, fast, intentional product interfaces matter to us, and they matter to the customers we build for. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who genuinely cares about frontend craft and is comfortable working backward from interface to backend integration when the system requires it. You will work directly with the Solutions Architect and Senior AI/ML Engineer on integration points, and you will own the user-facing surfaces of everything we ship. What You'll Do Design and build production-quality web interfaces for AI/ML applications — dashboards, analytical tools, conversational interfaces, document workflows, real-time monitoring views. Own the frontend stack across our internal product platforms and external engagements: architecture, component design, performance, accessibility, and visual quality. Build and integrate the API and service layers that connect interfaces to AI/ML inference services and data pipelines. Collaborate closely with the Solutions Architect and Senior AI/ML Engineer on system integration, API design, and deployment. Make principled design decisions — we want engineers who care about whether interfaces actually work for the people using them, not just whether they ship. Contribute to product direction and user experience decisions. We don't expect you to be a designer, but we do expect you to have opinions about the work. What We're Looking For Required 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with substantial focus on production frontend development. Deep expertise in modern frontend stacks: React or equivalent component frameworks, TypeScript, modern CSS, state management, build tooling. Demonstrated ability to ship interfaces that look and feel like serious products — not functional but bare prototypes.

Solid backend foundations:

comfort building and consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs, working with databases, and deploying services. Working knowledge of Python, sufficient to integrate with ML inference services and contribute to backend code when needed. Strong product instincts. You think about users, not just features. Bonus Experience building interfaces for AI/ML products: chat interfaces, agent workflows, model evaluation tools, dashboards backed by real-time inference. Familiarity with modern data visualization libraries (D3, observable, recharts, plotly) and the discipline to use them well. Background in design systems, component libraries, or design-engineering collaboration. Prior experience at a small product team where the line between engineering, design, and product was deliberately blurry.
