Role Description This contract Software Engineer role focuses on designing and implementing robust back-end services using Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS patterns. The engineer will collaborate with architects and product stakeholders to model business domains, define bounded contexts, and build scalable, event-driven systems on the Microsoft stack. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, testable code, reviewing peer code, designing APIs, and optimizing performance and reliability of distributed services. The role is hybrid, with primary work based in Irvine, CA and flexibility to work from home for part of the schedule. The engineer will also contribute to technical documentation, participate in sprint ceremonies, and help refine best practices for architecture and development. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles. Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem (.NET, Azure, microservices, APIs). Solid Programming skills with experience in modern languages commonly used for backend services (e.g., C#, Java, or similar). Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and applying design patterns in production systems. Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and event-driven architectures in real-world projects. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating in person in Irvine, CA and remotely as needed. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (e.g., Git) to support high-quality delivery. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with a focus on delivering maintainable, scalable solutions.

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:

$120,000-$140,000 annually and performance
