What the ideal candidate will do: Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions, including scope, feasibility, cost, and risk assessments. Manage complex application projects and provide expert technical support throughout the sales and project lifecycle. Collaborate with customers, sales teams, and global engineering teams to deliver competitive, high-quality solutions. Support business growth by identifying new application opportunities, market trends, and customer needs. Review orders for technical accuracy and ensure successful project execution with cross-functional teams. Deliver technical presentations, training, and application support for customers and internal stakeholders. Maintain application documentation and contribute product and market insights to Product Management. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on long-term and strategic projects. Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in applications engineering, machine manufacturing, or a related industrial environment; or equivalent combinations of education and experience. Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles, machine components, electrical systems, and technical drawings. Ability to analyze customer requirements and develop practical, cost-effective application solutions. Proven problem-solving and analytical skills. Experience supporting proposals, quotations, application engineering, or technical sales activities preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering-related software, with strong mathematical, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, sales teams, and cross-functional engineering groups. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%. Must be authorized to work in the United States and meet U.S. Person requirements (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).
