Job Description

About the Role The Professional Services & Solutions Manager leads CentriServe IT's solution architecture and Professional Services functions, owning the technical design and successful delivery of customer technology projects. This role translates customer business and technology requirements into well-designed, accurately scoped solutions and ensures those solutions are delivered through a consistent, disciplined Professional Services methodology by CSIT's engineering team. This role also serves as the Workstream Lead for the Professional Services Excellence pillar of CSIT's Customer Transformation Program. The manager is accountable for assessing current delivery practices and establishing the processes, project methodology, governance, tools, templates, training, and performance measures required to create a scalable, predictable, and customer-focused Professional Services operating model. This is a technical leadership and Professional Services management position, not a primary implementation-engineer role. The Professional Services & Solutions Manager coordinates a team of engineers responsible for technical implementation and provides architecture, project governance, technical oversight, resource coordination, escalation support, and quality assurance throughout delivery. The ideal candidate has experience in a Managed Services Provider environment and is comfortable operating as both a builder and an operator: designing scalable technical solutions, improving how projects are delivered, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring new standards are adopted and sustained. Primary ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture
  • Lead technical discovery, assess customer environments, and design managed IT, cloud, Microsoft 365, networking, infrastructure, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Develop and validate SOWs, technical scopes, BOMs, labor estimates, implementation timelines, licensing requirements, assumptions, exclusions, dependencies, and customer responsibilities.
  • Validate technical feasibility, implementation readiness, risks, prerequisites, success criteria, and supportability before project kickoff.
  • Partner with Account Management, cybersecurity, Procurement, and leadership to align technical recommendations with customer goals, budgets, vendor standards, and CSIT service capabilities. Professional Services Delivery
  • Oversee the Professional Services project portfolio and ensure projects are prioritized, resourced, governed, and delivered within approved scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.
  • Translate approved solution designs into project plans, milestones, engineering assignments, dependencies, testing activities, and customer responsibilities.
  • Coordinate engineers, vendors, Account Management, Service Desk, Procurement, and customer stakeholders to remove blockers and maintain project momentum.
  • Lead or oversee kickoffs, status reviews, risk reviews, go/no-go decisions, implementation readiness, escalations, post-project reviews, and customer acceptance.
  • Ensure completed projects transition cleanly into Support with complete documentation, validated operational readiness, known-issue review, and clear ownership. Professional Services Excellence Transformation
  • Own the Professional Services Excellence workstream deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, implementation, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
  • Establish CSIT's Professional Services methodology, including project classifications, stage gates, quality controls, RAID management, change control, customer communication, testing, UAT, go/no-go criteria, rollback planning, hypercare, closure, and lessons learned.
  • Build and maintain standardized workflows, templates, checklists, reporting, project controls, and project documentation standards.
  • Develop role-based training for engineers, Account Management, vCIO, Service Desk, Procurement, and other participants in the project lifecycle.
  • Pilot new processes, capture lessons learned, correct gaps, monitor adoption, and maintain a continuous-improvement backlog. Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Professional Services, solution architecture, technical project leadership, IT infrastructure, cloud, networking, or managed services.
  • Experience working for an MSP, VAR, systems integrator, or comparable technology services organization.
  • Demonstrated experience improving or scaling project delivery processes, methodologies, governance, templates, and delivery standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, wireless, storage, backup, disaster recovery, endpoint management, and cybersecurity concepts.
  • Experience leading technical discovery, solution design, project scoping, labor estimation, SOWs, project planning, risk management, change control, testing, and operational handoff.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, customer-facing, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to balance technical quality, customer outcomes, delivery risk, resource capacity, project margin, and operational supportability. Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, CompTIA, Fortinet, cybersecurity, or related certifications.
  • Experience with HaloPSA, Datto RMM, Microsoft Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall, Ubiquiti, IT Glue, or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing Microsoft 365 or tenant migrations, customer onboarding, network refreshes, cybersecurity initiatives, infrastructure deployments, hardware deployments, or cloud projects.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft CSP licensing, procurement/distribution platforms, and compliance frameworks such as
HIPAA, PCI-DSS, NIST, CIS
Controls, or CMMC. What Success Looks Like
  • CSIT operates under a clear, documented, scalable, and consistently applied Professional Services delivery methodology.
  • Solutions are technically sound, supportable, accurately scoped, and aligned with customer business requirements.
  • Projects have clear scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, success criteria, resource assignments, and customer communication expectations.
  • Engineers receive clear architecture, priorities, assignments, technical context, and escalation support.
  • Projects are delivered predictably with controlled scope, strong communication, appropriate testing, healthy margin, and minimal avoidable disruption.
  • Completed projects transition smoothly into Support with complete documentation, validated readiness, and clear ownership.
  • Professional Services performance is measured through KPIs for schedule, budget, quality, scope accuracy, customer satisfaction, handoff effectiveness, and methodology adoption. Key Success Measures Area
  • Measure Solution Design

  • Improved on-time, on-budget, in-scope delivery and reduced rework or escalations. Customer Experience
  • Consistent communication, strong project satisfaction, and fewer project surprises. Support Handoff
