Lorien has an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join our client, a leader in the ecommerce space, on a contract basis. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in architectural design and lives within commutable distance to Irving, TX for an onsite work environment.
Job Duties:
Build scalable, reliable software systems across the full development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment Contribute to architecture and design decisions for new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling considerations Develop customer-facing product features using Java Use data and metrics to support technical decisions and build supporting business cases Collaborate cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline Strong quantitative & analytical ability, using data and metrics to support decisions and build out business cases Solid grasp of the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle Experience developing on Linux, as well as familiarity with Amazon Web Services Background building products for customer-facing users 3+ years hands-on Java development experience 3+ years shaping system architecture & design (patterns, reliability, scalability) across new and existing systems Experience architecting workflow automation systems is highly preferred Experience building front-end infrastructure or distributed systems for commercial online products (preferred) Experience serving as a tech lead or history of mentoring & coaching junior engineers is preferred Impellam Group and its brands are equal-opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
