Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Integration Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC; Pennington, NJ; or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is focused on designing and building integrations using Spring Boot and the Spring Integration framework. The ideal candidate will implement microservices, REST APIs, and batch integrations, while also deploying services in containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes. This position requires close collaboration with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design and build integrations using Spring Boot, Spring Integration DSL, messaging channels, transformers, gateways, and routing patterns

Implement microservices, REST APIs, and Spring Batch Integrations for Data Ingestion

Develop reusable integrationponents, standardized templates, and libraries to accelerate development

Ensure code quality through robust unit testing, integration testing, and automated CI pipelines

Design and deploy Spring Boot services in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure proper CI/CD integration, container image standards, and deployment automation

Optimize containerized workloads for scalability, performance, and security

Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and QA to translate requirements into technical solutions

Lead design discussions, participate in architectural reviews, and influence integration strategies

Mentor junior and mid-level developers, review code, guide best practices, and provide technical coaching

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including presenting designs, articulating trade-offs, and aligning on timelines

Requirements:

• 10+ years of overall experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch and the broader Spring ecosystem
• 3+ years of Spring Integration experience (channels, filters, routers, aggregators, transformers, etc.)
• Strong experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
• 1+ years of UI Development experience with React
• Expertise with Docker, container image management, and Kubernetes-based deployments
• Strong Java development skills with a focus on scalable, resilient, and testable code
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub, etc.)
• Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Spring Test, WireMock, TestContainers
• Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Log4J, Splunk, etc.)
• Strongmunication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to collaborate with architecture teams and influence technical direction
• Proven success mentoring and developing junior engineers
• Ability to work independently and drive projects end-to-end

Desired skills:

Full Stack development with React

Experience as a hands-on Tech Lead

Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, JMS, or equivalents

Prior migration experience from MuleSoft or other ESB technologies to Spring-based integrations

Experience with API gateway frameworks (Spring Cloud Gateway, APIM)

Experience with distributed tracing and observability frameworks

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
