Everforth ECS is seeking a Cloud Email Engineer, Leadto support a federal civilian agency's Microsoft 365 and Power Platform operations, modernization, and cloud engineering program in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Email Engineer, Lead to manage and support our hybrid email infrastructure. This role is critical to maintaining secure, reliable email services across Exchange Online and on-premises environments, ensuring seamless mail flow and system availability for our organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Support & System ManagementProvide day-to-day operations and maintenance (O&M) support for Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises environmentsEnsure high availability, optimal performance, and reliable mail flow across all email platformsMonitor system health, audit logs, and security alerts to proactively identify and resolve issues affecting email delivery and security operationsHybrid Environment AdministrationManage and maintain hybrid email environments, including Exchange Online and Exchange on-premises serversOversee email routing configurations and mailbox storage across cloud and on-premises platformsCoordinate integration between Exchange systems, Active Directory, and Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD)Incident Response & TroubleshootingLead troubleshooting efforts for email disruptions, outages, and service degradationPerform rapid incident response and service restoration to minimize business impactConduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measuresSecurity & ComplianceImplement and maintain security controls to protect email infrastructure and dataApply updates, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with security best practices and compliance requirementsMaintain Exchange service integrity through regular security assessments and remediationBusiness ContinuitySupport backup, recovery, and business continuity planning for email servicesDevelop and test disaster recovery procedures for both cloud and on-premises platformsDocument recovery processes and maintain up-to-date system documentation

Salary Range:
