About Center for Robotics and Embodied Intelligence (CREI) CREI is being established as a multidisciplinaryresearch center focused on the science and engineering of intelligent systems that can perceive, reason, learn, interact, and act in thephysical world. The Center aims to advance frontier research while translating robotics and embodied intelligence into high-impactapplications relevant to Vietnam and the world.
Areas of Interest:
Robot learning, reinforcementlearning, foundation models for robotics, and embodied AI Autonomous systems, planning, decision-making, control, and multi-robotsystems Robot perception, multimodal sensing, computer vision, and spatial intelligence Manipulation, locomotion, mobilerobotics, drones, and field robotics Human-robot interaction, collaborative robotics, assistive or healthcare robotics Soft,bio-inspired, wearable, and intelligent robotic systems Robotics hardware, mechatronics, sensing, actuation, and real-timesystems Safety, verification, trustworthy autonomy, and responsible embodied intelligence TheOpportunity VinUniversity invites applications for open-rank faculty positions in Robotics to join the newly establishedCenter for Robotics and Embodied Intelligence (CREI). The successful candidates will work closely with Prof. Xie Lihua, President's ChairProfessor and Chief Scientific Officer of CREI, to build the Center's research agenda, laboratories, talent pipeline, partnerships, andinternational profile. This is a founding opportunity for scholars who combine rigorous research with the ambition to create aglobally visible robotics hub in Vietnam. Appointees will establish an independent research program while contributing actively tocollaborative, mission-driven projects across CREI, CECS, VinUniversity, and the wider innovation ecosystem.
