Job Description

Overview Provides engineering and programming support to projects and infrastructure support activities. Designs, develops, and modifies enterprise applications in a web environment, including general computer applications and specialized utility programs. Analyzes user and business needs, develops software solutions, and designs or customizes software to optimize operational efficiency. The Software Engineer may analyze and design databases within an application area, coordinate database development as part of a team, and support the design, development, deployment, maintenance, testing, and quality assurance of websites and web applications. What will you do? Apply technical knowledge and guidance throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle. Analyze user and business needs and translate functional requirements into software system designs. Create advanced models and diagrams that communicate application requirements and software code needs to development teams. Develop and modify enterprise web applications and supporting software solutions. Translate formal and informal system requirements into complex application interfaces. Analyze software project specifications, activities, and status and provide associated reporting. Design and develop web services and application integrations. Support database design and development within application environments. Perform routine quality assurance activities, including peer reviews. Support continuous integration, test automation, and DevOps activities. Work effectively within a dispersed development team. Provide technical guidance and work leadership to less-experienced analysts as needed. Serve as a consultant across multiple programs and/or contracts within the division as required. Remain current on industry technical trends, emerging technologies, and development standards. Do you have what it takes? Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Typically requires BS degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience Experience with Angular. Experience with Java. Experience working on a SCRUM team supporting a Lean Agile Framework. Experience with Git and Jenkins. Demonstrated experience with web service design and development. Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and DevOps. Familiarity with Linux environments. Experience translating system requirements into complex application interfaces. Knowledge of Java Database Connectivity (JDBC), Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), or direct database interfaces. Hands-on experience with Web Services, including REST and SOAP. Familiarity with AWS services and working within an AWS environment. Experience conducting quality assurance activities, including peer reviews. Ability to develop and implement solutions within a dispersed team environment
Qualifications:
