Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead the VUR/UM engineering team, driving the development and delivery of cloud-based products that drive better care for patients and lower operating costs. This individual will lead a team of approximately 8 engineers while partnering closely with Product Management to define roadmaps, prioritize work, and deliver incremental value through modern software engineering practices. The ideal candidate is a technical leader who can balance business outcomes with engineering excellence, challenge existing processes, and help drive innovation across the organization. Employment Qualifications Desired Work Experience Job Experience:
7 to 10Years People Leadership Experience :
3 to 5 Years Desired Education Education Level Preferred Area of Study Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience Computer Science Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 7-10 years as a software engineer 3-5 years of experience leading a team of engineers preferred 5+ years of experience in modern technology stacks, with a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving technical environments. While our teams primarily leverage Microsoft technologies, we welcome candidates from diverse technical backgrounds who are excited to expand their skillset.An understanding of engineering fundamentals:
testing automation, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery and DevOps Experience working with continuous integration & continuous delivery tools, REST API development, serverless architecture, containerization, IaC, public cloud, application observability, GraphQL and/or event driven architecture Experience delivering scalable applications using componentized and distributed architectures Solid foundations in formal architecture, design patterns and best practices Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical, globally distributed audiences Experience making recommendations to leadership on technology innovations to increase productivity and effectiveness. Exposure to AI-enabled development tools , code generation models, or ML-driven insights (e.g., Copilot, embedding models, vector search). Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences. This position pays between $150,000- 220,000, based on experience.
