Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, mentor, and develop team members; assign work, provide continual feedback, and advocate for career opportunities. Plan, coordinate, and execute software‑development activities. Manage recruitment, selection, training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and competency development. Support program development, ensure compliance with engineering processes, maintain customer focus, and serve as the technical conscience for programs. Travel may be required to customer and supplier sites, both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS). Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, airplane flight control and display systems, avionics, mechanical and electrical systems, weapons armament, commercial and military aircraft systems, mobile and ground-based defense systems, space systems, and other systems and applications of this nature.
