Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a QA Test Automation Engineer to support Verra Mobility's Gotham project, a high-priority initiative scheduled to go live at the end of December. This position requires a blend of manual testing and automation testing, with responsibilities split approximately 50% manual and 50% automation based on project priorities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience testing web applications, APIs, and backend services while developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium and/or Playwright. This individual should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure software quality throughout the SDLC. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to design detailed test cases and testing procedures
  • Execute manual and automated testing for new applications, enhancements, and existing products
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium and/or Playwright
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, UI, and API testing
  • Validate web applications, Web APIs, and Windows Services in a .NET environment
  • Document test cases, test results, and defects throughout the testing lifecycle
  • Analyze automation test results and troubleshoot failures to improve test coverage
  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met

  • 3-7+ years of software quality assurance experience supporting web-based applications
  • Experience performing both manual and automated testing (approximately 50% manual / 50% automation)
  • Hands-on experience testing application GUIs, Web APIs, and backend services
  • 3+ years of experience with Selenium WebDriver and/or Playwright
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent
  • Experience with C#, Java, TypeScript, or other object-oriented programming languages used for automation
  • Experience working in a Windows/.NET application environment
  • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum development methodologies
  • Experience writing test plans, test cases, and defect documentation
  • Ability to conduct functional, regression, system integration, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing
  • Strong SQL skills for test validation and troubleshooting
  • Experience using Azure DevOps/TFS or similar test management and defect tracking tools
  • LinkedIn profile required with all candidate submissions
  • Experience testing Windows Services (non-UI applications)
  • Experience automating Web API testing
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Oracle Database experience
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise implementations
  • Experience working on contractor-heavy Agile development teams
  • Exposure to multiple automation frameworks beyond Selenium and Playwright
