No weekends. The Job You test used computers and record what you find. Equipment arrives at our Eagan facility by the pallet — laptops, desktops, and small form factor PCs from businesses that are upgrading. Your job is to work through them one at a time: Power each unit on and confirm it works Check the condition — scratches, dents, cracked screens, worn keys Look up the specs (processor, memory, storage) and write them down Scan the serial number into our system Open desktops when needed to remove the hard drive Sort finished units onto the right pallet That's the job. It's methodical, it's hands-on, and it repeats. If you like clear steps and getting them right, you'll do well here. What You Need You can tell a laptop from a desktop and know roughly what a hard drive looks like You can read carefully and type accurately — a serial number entered wrong creates a real problem downstream You show up on time You can stand for a full shift and lift up to 50 lbs (carts available for anything heavier) Authorized to work in the United States That's the whole list. No degree, no certifications, no IT background. Helpful, But Not Required Built a PC, fixed a phone, or take electronics apart for fun Warehouse, assembly, quality inspection, or auto repair experience Basic comfort with Excel or Google Sheets CompTIA A+ or currently studying for it Where It Goes This is the entry point to our audit floor, not a dead end. As you learn the equipment, you move into higher-skill work — data sanitization, server and networking teardown, component harvesting — with pay increases at each step. Lead technician and supervisor roles are filled from this team. We are a certified ITAD company, which means every machine you touch is either given a second life or responsibly recycled. Nothing goes to a landfill. Schedule & Benefits Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No weekends, no rotating shifts. Unpaid lunch break plus two 15-minute breaks. Paid time off. Pay increases as you take on higher-skill work — see below. Work Environment Production floor. You'll be standing and moving between workstations most of the shift. Some dust from handling equipment and some noise from the warehouse side. PPE provided. How to Apply Apply through this posting. A resume is all we need — no cover letter. We review every application and respond quickly. A background check is required before starting. Minnesota Computers LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
