As a Charging Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the verification and validation of EV charging systems, ensuring seamless interoperability between vehicles and charging infrastructure. You will design and execute test plans for high-voltage power electronics and communication protocols to guarantee product reliability, safety, and compliance with global standards.
Key Responsibilities Test Development & Execution:
Define and execute manual and automated test cases for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) to verify they meet technical specifications.
Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting:
Use data mining, system log analysis, and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers) to diagnose and resolve hardware and software failures.
Automation & Scripting:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, C++.
Compliance & Safety:
Conduct environmental, durability, and high-voltage safety tests to ensure products meet regulatory standards like UL, SAE J1772, CCS1 and NACS.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to suggest design improvements based on test results.
Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Experience:
2-5+ years of experience in electrical testing, ideally within the power electronics or automotive industry.
Domain Knowledge:
Strong understanding of AC/DC charging, CAN-bus communication, and high-voltage battery management systems (BMS), TCP/IP networking
Hands-on Skills:
Proficiency in using laboratory test equipment and handling high-voltage systems safely.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
Language:
Bilingual (Chinese and English).
