Manual QA Tester Experience:
2 years of manual QA or similar IT experience
Pay:
$26 per hour
Locations:
New York City, NY / Jersey City, NJ / Edison, NJ Job Summary We are looking for a Manual QA Tester to review application functionality, execute test cases, document defects, and help ensure software meets business requirements. Candidates with two years of manual testing experience or similar IT experience with transferable troubleshooting, documentation, and application-support skills are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Review requirements and prepare clear test scenarios and test cases. Perform manual functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing. Compare actual results with expected behavior and record findings. Identify, reproduce, and document defects with clear steps and supporting screenshots. Retest fixes and track issues through resolution. Support user acceptance testing and communicate results to the project team. Maintain test documentation, test data, and simple status reports. Work with developers, business analysts, and support teams to clarify issues. Required Qualifications Two years of manual QA experience or similar IT experience. Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the defect lifecycle. Ability to follow requirements, execute test cases, and document results. Basic familiarity with web applications, browsers, and common business software. Comfort with Microsoft Excel and clear written documentation. Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and good communication skills. Ability to learn issue-tracking tools and follow team procedures. Preferred Skills Familiarity with Jira or a similar ticketing tool, Agile team practices, or basic SQL is helpful. Test automation and programming experience are not required.
