Job Description
AEGIS is looking for junior test automation engineer to join a long term IV&V test automation team with the Department of State. Duties include building test automation to support regression and patch testing, supporting functional test teams with custom designed test automation for performance or load testing and other testing activities including reviewing technical documentation and documenting processes and test procedures. Successful applicants will be comfortable with learning software systems, troubleshooting bugs and defects as well as being able to work independently once trained. The contract supports approximately 100 applications including software used in embassies and consulates around the world for applying for VISAs, passports and citizen services. Consular Affairs is modernizing its deployment processes for applications and testing to include CI/CD solutions with Jenkins, Ansible, JIRA and Confluence. The test automation team is currently building new automation to support these processes and has and will continue to work closely with development test automation teams as well as the CI/CD team. We're looking for test automation engineers with experience in an Agile and CI/CD environment. The team currently works in a remote / hybrid environment. Some on-site work is required at our client location in Arlington, VA. We are searching for candidates with the following qualifications: General Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience Undergraduate IT experience / or equivalent training or certifications (Tech Support, Training, Quality Assurance)
- Object Oriented programing experience (JAVA, C#, Python or similar)
- Interest in software testing and troubleshooting
- Familiar with Windows administration, installation, networking and hardware deployment
- Familiar with web site development, deployment or management
- Familiar with database structure and use
- Written and verbal communication skills, including documenting test procedures and results
- Active DoD Secret Clearance Preferred Must have or be able to obtain a government DOD secret security clearance; US Citizenship is required
Technologies Used:
- AccelQ Automate is the primary test automation tool in use
- Selenium using the Gauge Framework (primarily JAVA but some .Net)
- Visual Studio Code, and Eclipse IDEs
- GITLab, Nexus, Maven, JIRA
- Rational Functional Tester (RFT)
Additional Desired Skills:
- Maven or other build and dependency tools
- GITLab or other similar source code control tools
- Performance and load testing experience
- Experience working with the U.
