Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Tester to join our innovative software development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our cutting-edge applications across multiple platforms, including mobile and web. Your expertise will drive the delivery of reliable, user-friendly software solutions by meticulously designing and executing comprehensive test plans. Duties Develop, review, and execute detailed test cases based on functional specifications, business requirements, and technical documentation. Perform various testing types such as functional, system, regression, performance, load testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate software quality. Utilize automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency. Conduct mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices using tools such as Appium and Sauce Labs; ensure compatibility across different devices and operating systems. Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects through debugging and troubleshooting, and document issues clearly using defect tracking tools like HP ALM or Jira. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps. Participate in Agile development cycles by contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings; ensure timely delivery of high-quality software releases. Qualifications Proven experience in software quality assurance within IT environments with a strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall. Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks utilizing JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, or similar scripting languages. Proficiency in testing web services and APIs using RESTful API standards; familiarity with SOAP protocols is a plus. Strong knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB for data validation and analysis. Expertise in using version control systems like Git or SVN; experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps is highly desirable. Ability to perform comprehensive system testing on various operating systems including Windows and Linux; familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous. Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and root cause analysis; capable of designing effective test cases that cover functional and non-functional requirements. Effective communication skills for documenting test plans, writing detailed defect reports, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
