Category Information Technology Apply Description Duties/Responsibilities:
Evaluates assigned network and systems for performance, security, and other issues. Analyzes data processing requirements to effectively plan a data processing system that will provide the system capabilities necessary for projected workloads. Collaborates with data processing and project managers to determine limitations and capabilities of the existing system, and the capabilities required for future data processing projects and projected workload. Determines optimal hardware configurations by evaluating a variety of factors such as the number of departments serviced by data processing equipment, volume of transactions, and need for security and access restrictions. Determines, suggests, and plans layout for computers and peripheral equipment, including necessary changes to existing equipment and systems required to ensure efficient operation and effective use of allotted space. Determines power supply requirements and configurations. Assists users with software, hardware, connectivity, and related issues; provides training on new or modified equipment. Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to analyze and address needs of users. Thorough understanding of computer system hardware principles and procedures. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required. At least four years of related work experience required.
Physical Requirements:
