POSITION SUMMARY
Eden Housing is seeking a summer intern to support operational improvement projects across the organization. Working with the Director of Strategic Initiatives
  • Operations, the intern will help identify opportunities to streamline how teams work, improve how information is organized and accessed, and contribute to initiatives that increase efficiency and consistency across departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support cross-department operational improvement initiatives through data gathering, validation, and analysis. Evaluate emerging tools (including AI-enabled solutions) and provide recommendations to improve team effectiveness and workflows. Contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of automation solutions that reduce manual work and increase consistency. Assist in building and maintaining scalable internal knowledge systems (e.g., Notion dashboards, pages, and templates). Partner with stakeholders across teams to identify opportunities to streamline communication, documentation, and information access. Develop clear, reusable documentation and standards to support adoption and sustainability of new tools and processes. Support additional operational and strategic initiatives, as needed, to advance departmental and organizational goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
PREFERRED
SKILLS and/or
ABILITIES
Experience with Notion, Excel, and digital productivity tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) or workflow automation tools. Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Comfortable learning and experimenting with new software quickly. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to give full attention to the needs of the department and actively look for ways to assist. Desire and ability to learn new tools, skills, and concepts quickly. Passion for making processes simpler, faster, and better.
LANGUAGE, MATH & REASONING SKILLS
Ability to read, interpret, and summarize technical or process-oriented content. Ability to write clear documentation and instructions. Ability to perform data analysis and identify trends or inconsistencies. Capacity for logical thinking and creative problem-solving.
