Position Brief:
The SaaS Systems Analyst plays an integral role as part of the TechOps IT Team. They are responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's use of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications including but not limited to: Google Products, Entrata, LoanPro, BigQuery, Glide, RingCentral, Stonly, AI tools, and more. The SaaS Systems Analyst is responsible for managing and configuring a company's SaaS applications, including tasks such as user access control, permissioning, application configuration, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, integrating with other systems, audits, and ensuring security compliance across the SaaS portfolio.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience Proficiency with SaaS support concepts and experience with a variety of applications. Strong analytical skills with the ability to find technological solutions to business problems Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity Ability to transfer and transform data to suit business needs Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues using technology and data analysis Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (e.g., complex formulas, data manipulation, pivot tables, data validation). Proven track record in root-cause analysis, system QA testing, and technical diagnostics. Ability to analyze system configurations and workflows from limited visual context (e.g., screenshots, user bug reports). Job Duties and Responsibilities Application configuration and administration: Setting up and managing user accounts and permissions within SaaS applications. Configuring application settings, features, and integrations according to business needs. Managing data within SaaS applications, including data migration and backups.Monitoring and troubleshooting:
Actively monitoring SaaS application performance and identifying potential issues Troubleshooting user-reported problems and resolving technical issues within SaaS applications Analyzing usage data to identify areas for optimization and improvement Perform end-to-end root-cause analysis on complex configuration issues, logic errors, and integration failures across SaaS platforms. Replicate reported user bugs, isolate settings discrepancies, and write detailed bug tickets for vendor engineering teams Security and compliance: Implementing and maintaining security policies for SaaS applications, including access controls and data encryption Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards regarding data privacy and security Integration management: Integrating SaaS applications with other internal systems and platforms using APIs or other methods Managing single sign-on (SSO) configurations for seamless user access across multiple SaaS applications Vendor management: Communicating with SaaS vendors regarding updates, feature requests, and support issues Communicate licensing agreements and subscription renewals to management for evaluation and negotiation. Analyzing SaaS usage data to identify potential cost savings and optimize licensing Identifying redundant subscriptions and managing license usage to reduce costsHelp Desk Ticket Resolution:
This includes providing training and support to end-users, developing user documentation and guides, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution. This involves responding to and resolving SaaS application issues and outages, troubleshooting technical problems, identifying root causes, documentation, and escalating critical issues to the appropriate teams.Reporting and analysis:
Generating reports on SaaS usage, performance metrics, and cost trends Presenting findings to stakeholders and recommending improvements Communicating with stakeholders about their data needs, extracting from the appropriate SaaS applications and formatting reports for usability. Assisting users in creating templates and tools to efficiently and effectively make use of the SaaS data. Extract raw data from platforms (Entrata, LoanPro, etc.) and build clean, structured spreadsheets and tools for stakeholder usability.
