Month Contract Schedule :
Mondays to Fridays 40 hours per week (6am to 2:30pm) SUMMARY Under general supervision, assists in the administration of the warranty function by processing claims and assisting in negotiating settlements. Also responsible for inputting warranty information into automated procurement, maintenance, and inventory application.

Has Technical and Professional Expertise:
Has the technical skills, product knowledge and professional skills to do the job. Works with the Contracts and Materials Management (CAMM) Maintenance Team and the Maintenance Department to ensure that the warranty program is implemented. Prepares, processes, and forwards claims to vendors and assists in negotiating settlements for credit or replacement of parts. Tracks open claims and recovers costs using a computerized system and/or spreadsheet. Attends regularly scheduled meetings with CAMM, Maintenance and Transit Technical Services to report on any warranty issues and updates.

Has and applies problem analysis and problem-solving skills on a technical and interpersonal level. Recommends changes to warranty program.

Shares insights on issues/problems, clarifies purpose and links that purpose to actions. Assists in training parts room staff and mechanics on the appropriate methods of handling warranty items. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all levels of employees and vendors.
QUALIFICATION GUIDE A
high school diploma with a minimum of six years of experience, one year of which includes working in warranty administration, inventory control and/or materials management.
