A Configuration Analyst or Specialist provides specialized technical assistance in software configuration management, a process to track and control changes in software. May work for a company software configuration management team and assist with all aspects of software configuration management, including software product and application reviews and analysis of system requirements. May work with software users to troubleshoot and resolve software configuration problems.
Position Summary, Mid or Senior-level Logistician Innovative Professional Solutions, Inc. (IPS)—a successful defense contractor located in Panama City Beach, Florida—has provided exceptional support to our Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) customers for more than 20 years. We are looking for a Mid or Senior-level Logistician with experience providing integrated logistics support (ILS) for multiple Department of the Navy systems. This Logistician will be responsible for the full portfolio of ILS tasking such as: providing ILS documentation; developing/updating Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM); supporting the development of provisioning packages; building/updating files using configuration data management tools; participating in working groups; and providing support to the government ILS Manager.
Highlights of Responsibilities:
Develop and provide updates to ILS documentation. Provide technical inputs and updates for IETMs. Support the development of provisioning packages. Build/update files using configuration data management tools (e.g., Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture [CDMD-OA], Model-Based Product Support [MBPS]). Provide inputs for, and participate in, program and design reviews, working groups, integrated product teams, etc. Conduct validation and verification of ILS products and data. Provide support to the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Logistics Element Manager (LEM). Prepare Technical Feedback Reports and conduct waiver and backfit analysis. Provide support to the government ILS Manager (ILSM) during the development of the provisioning package.
Required Education, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field. Five or more years of logistics or related support experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Three or more years of recent, relevant experience. Strong Microsoft office skills, including the use of Teams. Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Eligible to obtain and maintain a Security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
NAVSEA RCM
Levels I and II. Familiarity with the Navy's provisioning processes. An active Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance preferred.
Travel:
There may be some travel (less than 10%) for this position.
Tools and Technology:
Various web-based tools will be used, including Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO). MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Working Conditions/Environment:
Work will be conducted at IPS, with some work taking place at the customer site (NSWC PCD). IPS is a drug-free employer. Proof of citizen will be required upon employment at IPS.
