full-time Principal Finance Systems Administrator (NetSuite & Coupa) ???? Chicago, IL | Hybrid A high-growth, PE-backed global financial technology company is seeking a Principal Finance Systems Administrator to own its enterprise finance technology stack. This person will be the lead architect and administrator for NetSuite and Coupa, and the owner of every integration that feeds them. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for a systems professional who understands both how the software works and how finance teams actually use it.

What You'll Do:

Serve as primary administrator and architect for NetSuite and Coupa, leading upgrades, configuration, custom fields, workflows, and user access Design, build, and maintain automated integrations into NetSuite from procurement, expense, CRM, and global banking platforms via API, EDI, and SFTP Fold acquired companies' systems directly into the core finance platform instead of running them as separate silos Act as the top escalation point for integration errors, data mismatches, and system bugs, working with IT and vendor support to resolve them Keep all financial systems and workflows compliant with SOX, ITGC, and data privacy requirements Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, and Sales Ops to turn business needs into scalable system solutions and a clear roadmap Maintain and improve automation scripts and middleware to cut manual accounting work and speed up month-end close Write and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and SOPs across the finance systems environment

What We're Looking For:

10+ years of progressive finance systems administration experience, with deep NetSuite and Coupa expertise Proven experience architecting and managing API, EDI, and SFTP integrations, including banking and CRM connections Working knowledge of SuiteScript, JavaScript, Python, or SQL Middleware experience (MuleSoft or similar) a plus Strong grasp of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, revenue recognition, multi-currency consolidation, and month-end close Methodical troubleshooter who can trace and fix broken data flows Clear communicator who can explain technical setups to accountants and accounting rules to developers NetSuite Administrator/ERP Consultant or Coupa certifications a plus
