Full Job Description Responsibilities/Job Description:
The Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Hardware Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the IT asset lifecycle, including overseeing procurement, deployment, and disposal processes, conducting audits, and collaborating with other departments. This role involves installing and integrating workstations (desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices) at various locations within the organization. As the Hardware Coordinator assists in providing training and expertise in configuring equipment for on-site deployment, performing asset tracking activities, and coordinating with customers by responding to calls, emails, and service tickets. Additionally, the Hardware Coordinator supports complex deployment projects, ensuring efficient utilization and compliance. Responsibilities Ensure adherence to standard policies and procedures and develop ITAM process guidelines and documentation with a focus on customer satisfaction. Serve as a trainer and subject matter expert (SME) in specialized areas for the deployment of new end user hardware. Oversee the configuration, deployment, and disposal of technology assets, ensuring efficient utilization and compliance. Configure hardware to meet software, functionality, and cable management requirements. Install and integrate workstations (desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices) at various locations within the organization. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to end-user deployments. Replace or migrate data on new or old computers. Perform Install/Move/Add or Change (IMAC) activities. Responsible for performing work at multiple sites and transporting equipment as needed within a scheduled shift. Provide clear instructions to technical resources to ensure deployment activities are followed. Ensure standard policies and procedures are followed and develop process guidelines and documentation. Provide project management support and maintain data to keep ongoing projects on schedule. Monitor data reports for issues, ensuring timely resolution and end-user satisfaction. Coordinate with customers by responding to calls, emails, and service tickets, supporting complex deployment projects. Perform work at multiple sites and transport equipment as needed. Required Qualifications
A.A./A.S.
in computer science, IT, or combination of relevant education and experience. 2 years experience in an IT role, particularly with deployment and technology migration. Experience understanding of IT and asset management. Able to handle routine tasks and assist in asset tracking and maintenance. Beginning to work more independently and contribute to small projects. Shows growing proficiency in supporting large-scale projects. Capable of completing tasks and assisting in meeting project milestones. Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration with team members. 2 years knowledge of printers, networking, and connectivity of devices Demonstrates the ability to make informed decisions to provide appropriate technology solutions for customer requests. Shows growing proficiency in evaluating options and selecting suitable technologies. Ability to follow work direction and provide minimal training to team members in deployment and technology migration tasks. Shows initial ability to assist and support team members with basic tasks. Demonstrates willingness to share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Shows excellent customer service focus, is highly organized, and team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Exhibits written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relate technical information to non-technical audiences. Exhibits a solid understanding of IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow. Capable of utilizing these tools to streamline IT processes, manage incidents, and track service requests. Reliable personal transportation to perform work at multiple sites during a scheduled shift. Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, evenings/weekends, depending on project requirements. Drivers License Preferred Qualifications
A.A./A.S.
in computer science, IT, or relevant education. 3 years years of experience in an IT role, particularly with deployment and technology migration. Experience providing work direction. CompTIA A+ certification Most current version of ITIL Foundations certification
